This past weekend

Monday, July 30th, 2007

As some of you might know, my family travels to Charlotte, NC every weekend so my fiance can pick up some extra work on the side for us. It is quite a pain in the bum with packing and unpacking every few days, the long car ride, no baby proofed anything down there so mommy is always on the go and never having any moments at the house to do anything for ourselves. Sounds pretty selfish but you should see our lawn!

I usually take our laptop with us and nab onto their wireless net for a few hours but this weekend I was determined to finish my 300+ pages I had left in my Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book. I was at the midnight Potter party here and still hadn’t finished my book! Geez. Well I am proud to say that I finally finished it and LOVED it. I cried of sadness and happyness throughout the entire thing. Now that I am done with my book I can get back to scrapping :)

I hope to have a new freebie up by tomorrow evening but we shall see. Anywho, we just got home awhile ago and I am super beat so until later today, take care!

I have a friend over at RAKscraps that is having a birthday today so I made her a card in celebration of it. I hope she has a wonderful day and gets all her wishes! Happy Birthday Angela!

Welcome to Scrap Muffin!

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Hi everyone! Welcome to Scrap Muffin. I am so happy to get this done finally. I have been working on getting a blog done for about 6 months now and it is just now coming together. This site is still under construction so please be patient with me. I will have some freebies and other great things on here soon enough so I hope you keep checking back with us. In the mean time, have a look around, leave me a comment and have a great evening!

Grand Opening Freebie

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

I am so thrilled to have finally gotten my blog off the ground (although I am still working on things on it) that I decided to go ahead and get a freebie up for you. I plan on having a few more VERY soon. Let me know what you think of it! Hope you like it as much as I liked making and sharing it

 Here is a preview:

(The edging looks kind of funky in the preview but if you add a neat paper to it, the effect is pretty cool!)

ADSR Challenge #1 Layout

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

Here is my first layout for the Season 2 of The Amazing Digital Scrapbooking Race!

Journaling:

The Spencer Transportation Museum has aircraft, all kinds of vehicles, even an old canoe..Amazing! But what interested your father and grandfather the most was the trains. It is only 30 minutes away so we can’t wait to go back again and again.

This is my 2nd entry in the Amazing Digital Scrapbooking Race Season 2. It was a collaboration project that was completed by my partner, Clare (Check out her blog ‘Molly Moo’s ‘) and myself.

We had to scrap friendship - with two photos, a doodle, a flower and the colour red. What better friendship to scrap than a pair of newly weds - (Clare and her husband)

ADSR Challenge #3 Layout

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

This is my entry for the Amazing Digital Scrapbooking Race Season 2’s third Challenge. It was supposed to be in the theme of a ’storybook’ so naturally I picked my son for the inspiration of this layout. These were photos taken at his 1 year photo shoot (ugh it’s really been 5 months since then hasn’t it?)

Journaling:

Once upon a time there was a young prince named Wesley who loved to play with his trains and trucks most days. He also loved to drive his fancy car to town where he would pick up his dearly beloved cake. He loved being a prince and wearing his crown proudly atop of his head but the thing he loved the most was getting tons of hugs and kisses from his mommy and daddy. ADSR Challenge #4 Layout

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

This is my 4th layout for the Amazing Digital Scrapbooking Race season 2 challenges! We were to scrap something with the letter ‘G’ for ‘GOAL’ and some kind of life goals in our layout. I think all mother’s have the same goals as I have shown in my layout.

Journaling:
My goal in life is to ensure you are well fed, rested, entertained, challenged, loved and most importantly that the paths in your future are made easier to travel so you do not have to struggle to succeed in reaching your goals and achievements.

Inspiration came by a dear friend of mine. I was completely at a blank for this page and was going crazy and the genius that she is just came up with the idea of my goals for my son instead of my personal goals for myself. She is an awesome designer and friend. Thank you Rhiannon! :hugs:
